Key Responsibilities

• Assist with asbestos abatement and demolition activities under the direction of qualified supervisors.
• Remove designated building materials in accordance with approved abatement procedures.
• Set up and maintain containment areas, barriers, and warning signs.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and protective suits.
• Follow established procedures for handling, packaging, labeling, and disposing of asbestos-containing materials.
• Assist with setting up negative-air equipment and decontamination areas as directed.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas using approved methods.
• Follow OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and applicable environmental requirements.
• Safely handle tools and equipment used for demolition and abatement work.
• Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or potential exposure incidents to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Previous asbestos abatement, hazardous materials removal, or demolition experience preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, standing, and working in confined or restricted areas.
• Willingness to wear required respiratory protection and protective equipment.
• Ability to follow detailed safety instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
